Lateness, Cancellation, No-Show Fees

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation

48 hours notice: 50% of Pre-Booked Appointment Cost & Booking fee is forfeited

Less than 24 hours notice /no contact: 100% of Pre-Booked Appointment Cost & Booking fee is forfeited.

Not attending an appointment without giving me any prior notice is a "no show" and the full appointment cost will be charged. You may be asked to pay the full appointment cost upon booking future appointments if you have previously been a "no show".

Client Lateness

If you anticipate that you will be later than 10 minutes, please call, text or send a message.

A 15 minute grace period is given for any late arrivals, after this period the appointment will be cancelled and the full appointment cost charged as a "no show".

Cancelling an appointment at any time will result in the loss of your booking fee. A new booking fee will be required for any new future appointments or for any appointments already booked in advance.

Please note the cancellation policy is implemented under any and every circumstance for fairness across all clients.

Communication is Key

Lateness, Cancellations and No-Shows have a huge impact on the running of my small business.
My diary is tight and an appointment running over by 15 minutes or someone not turning up creates a knock-on affect to my productivity, morale and client experience.
I have a strict policy in place to protect my business and customers, and communication is key so I also adhere to my business' terms.

I've Never Had My Nails Done. What Service Do You Recommend?

If it is your first time, I would recommend a BIAB manicure, and you can keep them short or grow them out #biabjourney.

If you want your nails longer, or if you have bitten, very short nails, then Gel Extensions would be something that could get done.

There is no need to worry, you can switch things up. If you feel like you can't get used to the extensions, next time just book a safe removal and a Gel Manicure service, and you can keep the nails short.

Do you offer nail art?

You can send me a picture before each appointment, so I can let you know if the nail art is doable.

I offer minimalistic designs which you can see on my Instagram page. I specialise in chic and sophisticated minimalistic styles.

How long does a typical appointment take?

Depending on the service you choose, it can take anything from 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hour 30 minutes.

I pay attention to detail and make sure the cuticle work and the gel application is perfect, which takes time but the appointments are normally 1h30m-1h45m for BIAB on natural nails, and extensions range from 1h45-2h30min.

What are your opening hours?

Monday: 10am - 5.30pm
Tuesday: 10am-7.30pm
Wednesday: 10am- 5.30pm
Thursday: 10am - 7.30pm
Friday: 10am - 5.30pm
Saturday: Closed
Sunday: Closed

What services do you offer?
What are your prices?

I offer gel only services.

- BIAB (builder in a bottle) gel on natural nails

- Gel extensions with hard gel

Prices vary and change with inflation. You can see my prices on my booking site:

https://labrossenails.book.app/book-now

and on my website at the services section:

Do you use an e-file for nail services?

Yes, I use an e-file for certain nail services. An electric nail file, or e-file, is a tool that allows for precise shaping and filing of the nails. I use it to safely and efficiently remove gel products and to perform a clean manicure.

I prioritise the health and safety of your nails, and the use of an e-file is done with proper care and technique to ensure a comfortable and professional experience.

Are you qualified and insured?

Yes, I am fully qualified and insured. I have undergone extensive training in nail artistry and hold qualification and certifications in various nail techniques. Additionally, I maintain up-to-date insurance coverage to ensure the safety and protection of both myself and my clients. Your well-being is my top priority, and you can trust that you're in good hands when you visit my studio.

FAQs: FAQ

Aftercare & Repair Policy

Aftercare

I take every care to ensure that your new nails will last but it's important that you look after them between appointments too.

  • Use cuticle oil and hand moisturiser every day. This will nourish the root of the natural nail allowing it to be more flexible and non-flaky & long lasting. You can purchase Shea Elixir Cuticle Oils in the studio from me or I can recommend you one that has effective ingredients.

  • Nails are jewels not tools! Hard Gel/Polygel and Builder Gel Polish are great for strengthening your nails but they will not make them indestructible. Take as much care as you can, and  beware when it comes to opening cans, taking off labels/stickers and opening car doors!

  • Please be gentle with your nails and avoid soaking them in water or any strenuous activity.

  • Do not soak hands in water for long periods of time. This will cause lifting. Take care around extreme heat or naked flames as nail extensions may melt.

  • We advise you leave no longer than 3-4 weeks between appointments. Any longer time than this and the nails will become more prone to damage as the product grows out and the structure becomes incorrect. Do not miss your regular maintenance appointments to ensure your nails stay looking and feeling at their best.

  • If any adverse reaction occurs: rash, redness, inflammation of any kind around the nails please contact your GP and me immediately.

  • Do not pick or peel product from your nails as this will remove the upper layer of your natural nails and cause damage, which can sometime be painful and leave them very thin. Avoid home repairs or removals - you could cause a lot more damage than you realise. Book in for a safe removal to keep your natural nails in good shape.
Of course in a time of a lockdown/pandemic you have to remove them at some point, or file them shorter as they grow out. There are lots of information and "how to"-s on my Instagram page and YouTube Channel, also I can send them to you directly.

  • If lifting can be seen please contact me as water and dirt can get under it and cause an infection.

  • Dyes/tints in food, beauty & hair products cause discolouration. Wear gloves or clean nails after use and be careful when using tanning cream, oils/repellents as some formulations can cause damage to the nail products.

  • Use protective gloves for housework, gardening DIY etc., as household chemicals will strip natural nails and skin of natural oils, thus, affecting its look and condition.

7 Day Repair Policy

I will fix any damage that I deem to be a result of my application free of charge. After 7 days there will be a fee of £5 per nail.

Please contact me asap if you need a repair appointment.
